Criminals think like predators in the wild: when we're not already designated victims, we simply have to make sure we don't become the ideal one.

What does it mean?

That first of all we must not represent a forced choice and secondly, that we must not appear weaker / inexperienced than the others. Prevention, in most cases, is sufficient.
