How to dodge punches mini-guide

When we talk about facing the adversary's action, the first thing to understand is that:
At each level of preparation corresponds a different type of dodges we can access to
Not always dodging is the best solution and not always it is possible (this means that we must be prepared to do many other things)
If we face an opponent who is more or less equal to us, it is almost impossible not to be hit at least sometimes
A good dodging capability is 9% about technique, 1% about natural reflexes and 90% about constant training
Training to learn to dodge make sense only in the context of a serious martial path; the beginner / not practitioner alternative is the covering (it is 10 times better to get hit in a controlled way than thinking to be able to dodge and get hit in full on vulnerable targets)
In the particular case of self-defense, the best techniques to avoid getting punched are prevention, negotiation and escape (read Personal defense: the S.A.F.E. method)
